This review evaluates the first four installments (1963–1966) of Atlas Polski, a cartographic collection documenting Poland’s physical geography. It surveys the atlas’s format, thematic scope, production quality, and scholarly value, with particular attention to geological, Quaternary, geomorphological, and geobotanical maps. Although the series lacks an explicit editorial program, systematic organization, sheet numbering, and economic-geographical coverage, several maps provide outstanding syntheses of scientific findings and enable comparative analysis across national borders. The subdued printing and occasionally ambiguous color symbols reduce usability, while Polish-only explanations limit access for international readers. Nevertheless, the atlas constitutes a rich body of research materials, especially for geographers unable to consult Polish scholarship directly, and may eventually provide the foundation for a conventional national atlas. Future installments should improve symbol differentiation, add multilingual explanations, and maintain steady publication.
