This review assesses the completed second series of the Atlas of Australian Resources. Through large coloured maps and accompanying texts, the series documents Australia’s climate, landforms, water resources, land use, transport, manufacturing, population, urban areas, and natural vegetation. Statistics, photographs, diagrams, and detailed maps supplement the cartographic material. Together, these resources provide an invaluable account of the spatial distribution of physical resources, population, economic activities, and services. The reviewer welcomes the continuing revision represented by the forthcoming third series.
