Summary

This report describes the planned second edition of the National Atlas of Czechoslovakia, initiated by the Geographical Committee of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. The atlas will contain 60–65 map sheets in four sections: physical geography, political and population geography, economic and transport geography, and typical landscape regions. It will employ new cartographic methods, with main maps at 1:1,000,000 scale and supplementary maps at smaller scales. A separate text volume and photo atlas are planned, followed by a geographical monograph of Czechoslovakia.
