Propositions en vue d'améliorer les Atlas nationaux

Summary

This note outlines an initiative to improve national atlases. Seven Soviet reports presented in Moscow in 1958 proposed revisions concerning cartographic mathematics, climate, relief, geographical environment, agriculture, population, and industry. At the author’s suggestion, the Belgian National Committee of Geography began critically evaluating these proposals. The findings were to be presented to the National Atlases Commission at the 1960 Stockholm Congress.
