Newsletter ICA Commission on Atlases 01/2025

Summary

The inaugural quarterly newsletter of the ICA Commission on Atlases presents commission news, forthcoming events, and recent developments in atlas production and research. It highlights ICC 2025 in Vancouver and the commission’s pre-conference workshop on changing relations between atlas-making and map design, alongside the Barry Lawrence Ruderman Conference on Cartography. Featured projects include the Atlas of the World of ITC, the fifth volume of the Atlas of Czech Dialects, the Czech Map of the Year competition, and the expanding Czech Statistical Atlas; the issue concludes with a call for contributions to future newsletters.
