Celebration and exhibition marking the completion of the "Atlas of Switzerland"

Summary

A ceremony in Bern on 20 February 1978 marked the completion of the Atlas of Switzerland. Publication of this national atlas was authorized in 1961; the first installment appeared in 1965, and the ninth completed the work. Hans Hürlimann and Claude Raffestin thanked editor Eduard Imhof and the editorial, scientific, and technical contributors. Ernst Huber subsequently opened an exhibition on the atlas at the National Library, scheduled to run until 15 May.
