Summary

This is an academic review of the second edition of Romer's Geographical-Statistical Atlas of Poland (1921). The author first identifies the main changes in the new edition: the addition of a map reflecting post-war administrative divisions and an ethnographic map titled "Poles B," based on non-official data, which presents a markedly different picture of Polish ethnic distribution compared to official statistics. The author then categorizes the atlas's content into physiographic, demographic, and economic maps, highly praising its scientific value, with particular emphasis on the clarity and pedagogical applicability afforded by the isarithmic method. The author argues that the atlas holds great potential for secondary school geography instruction, recommends that teachers select key maps for teaching, and urges the publisher to sell individual maps separately to facilitate their widespread use in schools.
