Summary

This article reviews the Atlas of Poland by E. de Romer, published in 1916. Funded by the Galician provincial diet and compiled during the war, the atlas aims to provide comprehensive geographical and statistical information on the territories of historical Poland. It systematically employs the isopleth method to depict phenomena such as population density, ethnicity, religion, agriculture, and industry, covering an area from the Baltic to the Black Sea. Despite the method's limitations in representing abrupt human-geographic transitions, the atlas offers invaluable insights into the economic and ethnic relations of Poland and its neighbors, serving as a crucial reference for the region.
