This article introduces the Atlas of Finland, published in 1929 by the Geographical Society of Finland in Helsinki. The 320-page volume, accompanied by a magnificent collection of maps, was issued in Finnish, Swedish, and English; the Geneva Geographical Society received the English edition. Particular attention is drawn to the chapter on state organization, which offers a captivating summary of Finnish history, followed by in-depth studies of the country's climate, flora and fauna, its countless lakes, and forests covering over 70% of the territory.
