Summary
This document is a provisional list of maps for the Atlas of the New German Federal States, systematically covering the five new German Länder (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, and Saxony) and Berlin. The atlas is organized thematically into sections on natural conditions and resources, population and settlements, economy and industry, transport, and the economic structure and culture of individual Länder, comprising approximately 150 maps at scales ranging from 1:50,000 to 1:120,000,000. It integrates multidimensional data on geography, geology, climate, agriculture, population, economy, transport, and culture, aiming to provide a comprehensive reference for regional planning, academic research, and public policy. The atlas reflects the scholarly effort to systematically assess the eastern German regions following reunification in 1990, holding significant historical and practical value.
