This is a review of the Atlas of Iran: White Revolution Proceeds and Progresses, published by the Sahab Geographic and Drafting Institute in Tehran. The atlas contains 78 maps, 31 diagrams, and 11 illustrations, aiming to present Iran's developmental achievements to Western readers, particularly those following the 'White Revolution' of 1963. The review notes that while the atlas emphasizes statistical representations of achievements in land reform, rural cooperatives, industry, and literacy campaigns, it suffers from notable cartographic shortcomings, including the widespread omission of graticules and scale statements, as well as insufficient place-name labeling. Despite these limitations, the atlas offers a multifaceted visual reference for understanding contemporary Iranian social change, though readers may need to consult additional sources to fully grasp its significance.
